Establishing a comprehensive security policy is the first step toward ensuring that your wireless network remains security and compliant. However, by its very nature, the security policy can only account for known vulnerabilities and cannot adapt in real time to emerging threats. Adaptive threat identification and response is critical to ensuring continuous security and compliance. The tools and practices that make up the nineSecure suite of services are continually updated to detect, classify and, most importantly, respond to new threats as they emerge. The nineSecure detection, classification and prevention algorithms are updated in real time to adapt to the ever changing threat landscape and our security experts continuously monitor and develop incident response protocols for those emerging threats.

Additionally, the simple act of deploying an intrusion detection system does not provide a continuously secure network. IDS platforms have, by design, always erred on the side of caution by providing too much information rather than not enough. As an unintended side effect, IT security personnel have become numb to the onslaught of incoming alerts generated by the IDS. This has traditionally been the challenge faced by organizations deploying IDS platforms – What to do with all of the information generated by the IDS? Detected events must be identified, classified and an appropriate response must be initiated in real time to ensure the ongoing security of the network. The nineSecure system has been tuned to minimize the amount of false positive and non-actionable informational alerts generated by the IDS platform to ensure that your security personnel are only seeing relevant, actionable information and alerts. Add to that a well-established and tested security incident response protocol and you can rest assured that your wireless network is secure.
